Brandon Smith is an Oakland, California based painter who received his BFA in Oil Painting in 2002 from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. His painting style incorporates social realism with contemporary brush strokes.

"Snapshots" is Brandon's most recent body of work and is a collection of images inspired by the Bay Area's cafés and industrial streets. The paintings are of everyday life; spontaneous moments recorded like a snapshot, composed of simple forms and vibrant color.

Brandon currently teaches at the Academy of Art University and is represented by Waterhouse Gallery (www.waterhousegallery.com) in Santa Barbara Studio Gallery (www.studiogallerysf.com) in San Francisco.
